Smart Grid Ventures has provided IT Production Support to our Utility clients supporting 1.8 to 2 million customers. Our employees have worked on Oracle Meter Data Management (MDM), formerly known as Lodestar Billing and Lodestar Pricing production support roles. 

Our employee projects have included supporting the automation of daily billing jobs, managing the usage data generated from meters analyzed for billing, generating new contracts or sales for customers and managing daily operations related to Alerting and Network monitoring of equipment. Network monitoring includes verifying the statuses and connectivity of network equipment such as routers and collectors and usage data generated from Gas and Electric meters.

We have also successfully supported the production environment after upgrades of vendor software are conducted. The vendor software extract the raw usage (Interval and register) data from the meters and feeds this information to downstream systems which are the middleware servers (LiNUX or Windows), billing software (CSS or Lodestar Billing) and meter data management software(Oracle MDM or Lodestar Billing). We have worked on Production Support roles for these systems supporting millions of customers.
